Service and Affiliations
I am the incumbent editor for the Journal of Scottish Philosophy and the Director of the associated Center for the Study of Scottish Philosophy. I am also a member of the Book Reviews Advisory Board for the Journal for the History of Philosophy.
I am a member of several NYC-area research groups, including the Virtue Ethics and Moral Psychology group, the Columbia University Faculty Seminar in 18th-Century European Culture, and the NY/NJ Faculty Workshop in Early Modern Philosophy. I am also a collaborator affiliated with the Extending New Narratives project, and a member of several professional organizations, including the Hume Society, the International Adam Smith Society, the American Philosophical Association, and the American Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies.
I co-organize, with Reed Winegar and Ohad Nachtomy, the annual NYC Workshop in Early Modern Philosophy, and formerly served as the coordinator for the Hume Society's annual Eastern APA session.
