I am an Associate Professor of Philosophy at Fordham University. I am also the incumbent Editor of the Journal of Scottish Philosophy and the Director of the Center for the Study of Scottish Philosophy, now based in NYC.
Previously, I was a member of the Society of Fellows in the Humanities, and a Lecturer in the Philosophy Department at Columbia University. I received my PhD in Philosophy from Harvard University in May 2017, where I wrote a dissertation on conceptions of self-control in the works of David Hume, Adam Smith, and Jane Austen. My research is on topics in Early Modern Philosophy, the History of Ethics, Feminist History of Philosophy, and Philosophy and Literature.
